| dc.description | Abstract: The accommodative dysfunctions cause a poor functioning in the lens, inducing asthenopias and poor visual efficiency. An observational, descriptive and correlational study was carried out in the "Arturo Borja Educational Unit" of the province of Orellana, during the period from February to December 2018, with the objective of determining accommodative dysfunctions in non-strabismic students from 13 to 18 years, the universe was made up of 520 students and the sample 303, selected by criteria of inclusion and exclusion; the instrument used for the collection of information was the optometric clinical history. Among the statistical methods used are; the statistical package for the social sciences, SPSS, the Chi-square test for the crossing of variables and the nonparametric test of Kruskal-Wallis. The main results are: 205 students who did not present refractive or accommodative alterations, the oldest group being 13 years old students, while 98 students with 32.34% were the group that presented accommodative dysfunctions; the accommodative excess has a higher incidence, with 56 students being the male sex that presented greater predisposition to accommodative dysfunctions; emmetropic students were the majority with 182 students, unlike ametropters with an absolute frequency of 121; the values of accommodative amplitude were normal, the accommodative flexibility indicated failure in the positive lens, the accommodative response corroborated the accommodative excess as the most significant dysfunction, there being a relationship between accommodative dysfunctions and ametropia, except for the inflexibility that occurs in the emmetropia. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Las disfunciones acomodativas provocan en el cristalino un mal funcionamiento, induciendo astenopias y una mala eficacia visual. Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo y correlacional en la ¨Unidad Educativa Arturo Borja” de la provincia de Orellana, durante el periodo comprendido de febrero a diciembre de 2018, con el objetivo de determinar las disfunciones acomodativas en estudiantes no estrábicos de 13 a 18 años, el universo lo constituyeron 520 estudiantes y la muestra 303, seleccionados por criterio de inclusión y exclusión; el instrumento utilizado para la recolección de información fue la historia clínica optométrica. Dentro de los métodos estadísticos utilizados están; el paquete estadístico para las ciencias sociales, SPSS, el Test de Chi-cuadrado para el cruzamiento de variables y la prueba no paramétrica de Kruskal- Wallis. Los principales resultados son: 205 estudiantes que no presentaron alteraciones refractivas ni acomodativas siendo el mayor grupo etario los estudiantes de 13 años, mientras que 98 estudiantes con el 32.34% fue el grupo que presento disfunciones acomodativas; el exceso acomodativo presenta mayor incidencia, con 56 estudiantes siendo el sexo masculino el que presento mayor predisposición a las disfunciones acomodativas; los estudiantes emétropes fueron mayoría con 182 estudiantes, a diferencia de los amétropes con una frecuencia absoluta de 121; los valores de amplitud acomodativa se hallaron normales, la flexibilidad acomodativa indicó falla en el lente positivo, la respuesta acomodativa corroboró al exceso acomodativo como la disfunción más significativa, existiendo relación entre las disfunciones acomodativas y las ametropías, exceptuando la inflexibilidad que se presenta en la emetropía. | es_ES |
